COCKTAIL CREATION

There are som rules of thumb to follow to simplify cocktail creation.

THREE PARTS

There are generally three parts to a cocktail.

1. Spirits & Liqueurs

2. Citrus

3. Sweetening agents

You will generally have the same amount of spirits as acid and sugars combined.

4 -3 -1½ RULE

This is a great way to communicate cocktails amongst yourselves behind the bar. It simply means:

4cl Spirits

3cl Citrus

1½ Sugars

The amounts will vary according to your guests preferences. Or, if you will add a sweet liqueur for instance, you will either lower the sugar, or use more acid. Click below to view James cocktail creation.
